As a competent and experienced partner for standardised assessment methods, telc gGmbH offers high-quality language examinations that are meaningful, reliable and objective. With more than 45 years of experience, we offer comprehensive educational services. Our tests they are task-based and communicative, always based on the stakeholders’ needs. They are continually re-evaluated and updated in order to maintain high standards in both content and exam administration.

telc – language tests are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe. Thus, telc language certificates carry a clear message all over the world.

We believe in multilingualism, and we understand the needs of our test takers. Therefore, we offer a wide range of more than 80 tests in 11 languages. telc – language tests offers comprehensive examinations in four domains:

• General use: For those who use the foreign language primarily in their private lives
• Education: For schools and universities
• Job: Business and technical language certificates for those who need the language for their work and career
• Migration: German as a second language as a requirement for integration into a German-speaking environment

Additionally, telc offers the telc Online Placement Test (TOP) as a professional online placement test for businesses and universities. It offers the users the option of assessing participants’ linguistic levels easily and quickly.

The quality of our language tests is approved by the Association of Language Testers of Europe (ALTE).

telc Training

telc Training offers a wide range of seminars for language teachers and department heads, as well as school principals. Depending on your needs, you can participate in a single event, a webinar or a comprehensive training course. All courses bring you up to date on issues of methodology/didactics, education management, or special topics such as the teaching of specialised terminologies.

We issue a new programme booklet for Germany every six months. No matter where you are, you can always book a customised in-house event. telc Training has trainers with extensive expertise who are happy to cater to your particular training needs.
